Tips to help you find the perfect seating for your space

When we say you’re spoilt for choice, we’re not kidding, so we thought we’d put a handy guide together for you when you’re picking the perfect sofa for your space. Oh and there's a very valuable treat at the end of this blog, so make sure you keep reading!
Size matters
Do not, we repeat, do not compromise when it comes to the size of your seating.
Having a sofa or armchair that is too big or small can make or break a space. If you’re ordering a standard size piece, then mark out its footprint with tape to ensure your furniture is the right fit.
But if the standard sizes aren’t quite right for your room, always order bespoke to avoid ordering something that will either feel under or oversized.
TOP TIP: If you already have an area rug in the room, take the cue from the size of the rug to make sure the sofa is in proportion with the rest of the room.

Choosing a fabric for your upholstered furniture often feels like the biggest decision to make.
Our advice would be to choose a fabric you can style in a number of different ways to give yourself as
much versatility as possible.
Does the fabric and colour you’ve chosen allow you to change up other colours and tones in your front room? Can you dress it differently throughout the year to keeps things fresh for summer and rich and cosy for the wintry months?
If you answered ‘yes’ to those questions, then we think you’re onto a winner!

Now, here at Pebble we obviously think the aesthetic is a major priority. But you’ve also got to make sure that your seating completely works for you.
Emphasis on the completely.
There’s no point having a totally beautiful sofa which doesn’t have enough room to seat the regulars in your household.
Do you have a feet up on the sofa approach? Then an ‘L’ shaped or corner coach might be best for you. If you’re used to more formal seating arrangements, then adjust your sofa vision accordingly.

The shape and style of your seating makes a huge difference to your space.
Modern or traditional? High or low back? On legs or flush to the ground?
Even something as simple as the shape of the armrests can make a big difference to the room’s look and feel.
